I wanted to thank you for contacting me personally so that I could order the Globalstar satellite phone for our parish. My husband, who is an engineer/contractor/surveyor, is fortunate enough to have contacts through his business that can send relief supplies to the devastated area of Washington Parish, particularly Bogalusa, LA. He has been able to provide police officers, government officials, and area residents with the only means of communication to the outside world to ask for help. Without this phone, the people of Washington parish would be suffering, some even dying. We have been able to call in help from the business industry, the Red Cross, and FEMA. FEMA was unaware of the devastation in Washington parish and did not even show up until a call was made using the phone we purchased from you. Now residents of Bogalusa and Washington parish alike are beginning to receive water, ice, food, and the necessary supplies to sustain life that they so desperately needed. Police officers and local rescue workers are able to make calls to their loved ones who were evacuated to safe and more secure areas, while they stayed behind. This is the only thing sustaining the hope of these workers who have been tirelessly working for days without contact from their wives, children, parents, and other relatives. We can never express enough gratitude to you for expediting these orders and supplying us with the ONLY means of communication the residents of Washington parish and surrounding areas have to the outside world. We appreciate the generosity and the kindness that you have shown to us. Through this difficult time it is very comforting to know that there are businesses and people we can count on to pull us through this disaster. Please continue to remember us and thank you again for your tiring efforts to get these phones out to the people who desperately need them.
